She died once and revived with a Phoenix inside of her.
Now she died again and came back with the full power of the Phoenix unleashed.

Azura has fled the Blue-eyed snow leopards territory after Lucas successfully killed her. With the fully awakened powers of the Phoenix now running through her, she wants to get back what she had lost while balancing on the edge of madness herself.

Will she be able to fight her own dark side and keep her sanity while she tries to get Lucas back? Will she be able to keep things together for when the bigger threat finally emerges?

Darker, more violent, and more madness. The line between good and bad slowly fades.

"I imagine him as he is now, a cold echo of himself-a captive god, shackled to the ground he once knew well. For him, and for me, time crawls in the same sluggish circle. I picture the smallness of the space we put him in, and wonder if he remembers like I do." She was always drawn to storms, much like how lightning is drawn to the sky. Even at a young age, little Azura would stand beneath the thunderclouds that often visited the Sky'Lands during their journey across the Crystallin Sea, singing in a dead tongue. The chaotic beauty of the storms gave her solace, a stark contrast to the suffocating control of her makeshift family. Despite what had been promised, Azura couldn't help but feel a certain coldness each time a storm moved on without her. A coldness that only grew stronger and more present with each passing season, leaving her torn between the safety of familiarity and a longing for what lay beyond the open sea. Change had always taken something from her, bringing fear and loss of what had once been familiar. Facing change alone was terrifying, especially from the perspective of a gifted girl who had been isolated all her life. From the moment he was born, Damien's life had never been his own. Orphaned amidst the lower class and considered property of the Crown, it seemed his future had been set in stone, predetermined by those born with silver blood. To work arduously with his head held low and his mouth sealed shut until death would come for him. A death that seemed mockingly out of reach. Scars covered his body, some inflicted by the hands of the upper class, while others he had done to himself, as there was no such thing as a free slave in the Kingdom of Dunstan as long as the Royals lived. --------------------------------------------------- As of 2024, this will be the official place for this story of mine. ❝ Pain was my fuel, until the fire began bleeding from my veins. ❞ The girl without a name. The black-haired fiend devoid of fear. The sharp-tongued scoundrel always ready with a trick up her sleeve. Thief and street rat Azura knows how to hustle a man better than she knows how to read. Some skills are far more important than others in the dog-eat-dog world she survives in. She knows Rupteran will only play nice when the Sharlik Empire keels over and dies, which isn't going to be anytime soon with the piss-poor job the rebellion is doing. But when a robbery that could turn her life around goes sour, Azura's sharp wit and blackened heart will be tested. One should be wary before cornering a wounded animal, and that's exactly how the rebellion finds Azura. With her bloody teeth bared and her hackles risen, Azura is ready to bite off the hand they offer her. But some deals are just too alluring to pass up. ༛༛ ༛ ༛༺༻༛ ༛ ༛༛ ➳ Complete! ➳ Amazing cover designed by @-wanderes ➳ Constructive criticism is welcome and appreciated ༛༛ ༛ ༛༺༻༛ ༛ ༛༛ ➳ Featured in @WattpadDarkFantasy's 'A Kingdom In Shadows' reading list ➳ Featured in @WattpadStars 'Fantasy' reading list ➳ Featured in @WattpadHornsandHalos 'Nephilim Stories' reading list ➳ Featured in @StoriesUndiscovered 'Explore The Stars' reading list ➳ Featured in @antiheroesgalore's 'Monstrously Fantastic' reading list ➳ Featured in @mythandlegend's 'Legendary Creatures and Hybrids' reading list ➳ 'Best Leading Character' in The 2020 Sinne Awards ➳ 'Book To TV Potential' in The 2020 Sinne Awards [[word count: 70,000 - 80,000]]
Threads of Fate by LeeraIvy
82 parts Complete Mature
The path fate lays before us is often many years in the making, and the tale of the Phoenix and the God-spawn is no different. Nearly 3,000 years before the war that would bring about Astaroth's defeat, another battle was waged to ensure there would be a future to fight for. Duty has been thrust upon Prince Azael Cadhael for centuries, first by filling the role of an uncrowned King, but his true story begins as all royal stories do: with a ball, a secret, and a peculiar dream. When Azael overhears the whispered plans of his betrothed and her twin brother to leave with the Phoenix on a goddess-given quest, he must surrender to a new type of duty entirely. Navigating his ever increasingly strained relationship with Tissaia Lochren while striving to save the future of his kingdom isn't a job easily done, and her closeness with the Phoenix, Kaius, certainly doesn't make it any easier. Tissaia has spent years in the shadows of her own failure and her father's wrath. Kaius's quest offers her and her brother Talarion a chance to claim their freedom at long last, but fighting ones' past can be just as deadly as fighting an armed foe, especially if that past isn't keen on backing down. If they're going to succeed, all four of them must learn to recognize the power in truth and bared secrets, as well as the strength in kinship. If they fail, it could mean the doom of all Asterria for an age. But if they succeed, perhaps fate will be kinder than they have been led to believe. Warning: This book, while being a work of fiction, still deals with real and mature elements. There will be chapters dealing with abuse, gore, PTSD, torture, sexual content, and other topics. Please be aware if you are sensitive to such content. The Five Cursed Witches: Volume 4 - Mirai, the Witch of Sight by High_Priestess_Elena
101 parts Complete Mature
Mirai comes from a long line of witches who have been particularly gifted in using their inner sight. As such, she's trained her sight from a young age. She's always been a disappointment, however, as the only thing she's ever been able to see is the vague image of a girl. On her 18th birthday, Mirai discovers a mark on the back of her neck displaying the number thirty. From her first proper vision, she deduces that unless she finds the girl before the number reaches zero, both of them will die. Only being able to depend on her less than mediocre skills in seeing the future, Mirai sets out to find the girl before the time is up. Little does she know of the trauma the girl has suffered, nor that finding her is only the beginning. ---------- Mature rating due to: smut, violence, suicide (happens in the prologue while POV-character has her back turned), rape (happens in chapter 30 and will be mentions of it afterwards, fade to black, there will NOT be a trigger warning at the beginning of the specific chapter), violent death of babies, some rather bloody scenes, self-harm, extreme guilt. Note that a major part of this story focus on healing from and learning to live with trauma, so though you could potentially read it but skip some specific parts, if you're not comfortable reading something that deals with the listed topics, then this book won't be for you. ---------- This series will contain the following volumes: Volume 1 - Zoe, the witch of innocence (completed) Volume 2 - Crimson, the witch of night (completed) Volume 3 - Morana, the witch of life (completed) Volume 4 - Mirai, the witch of sight (completed) Volume 5 - Danae, the witch of light Volume 6 - Rheseis, the faerie of love
