Story takes place before Pirates of Caribbean series BUT doesn't follow the *correct* storyline of what happened before the franchise of POTC.
The king in the story is NOT the king of England in the movies.

I challenge my readers - if they'd like to comment - do it like a pirate! Aye, even if it turns into an utter cringe fest, I think it would be interesting to see a community gather like that!
