Marcus's father died getting shot to death while drug dealing and Marcus's mother died of an overdose because she couldn't deal with the depression. Marcus now lives with his abusive uncle in an old run down house. Marcus goes through everyday fighting his uncle and his punishments. Marcus's History teacher, Mrs. Ferrel, is the only teacher in school that is concerned about what is happening in his household. Will Mrs. Ferrel find out? Will Marcus put his Uncle to justice?
