The Little Mermaid...but gay.
Prince Triton Jr. is betrothed to another mermaid from a nearby kingdom, as is his twin sister Attina. Unhappy with his arranged marriage, he confided in his little sister Ariel, who is the only other merperson who would understand him. They share a secret that only they and the ocean know: they're both gay and want nothing to do with the outdated ways of royalty bloodlines.
They two siblings swim off together to escape their unhappy lives, but a vicious storm separates them, effectively tearing them apart. The sea dragged the two mers in separate directions, but at the same time, took them exactly where they needed to be, as they each discover someone in need of their help, someone with an open heart ready to give the love they always deserved.
Note: this is written like a fan fiction. I do not own the characters, except for Triton Jr.
