It's All About Family

A short story about an uncertain animagus who finds himself in unfamiliar territory when he searches and finds a doorway back to the land of the living.

While on holiday, Christine Knight meets and befriends Sirius Black. They get on so well that when he disappears and she learns that he's landed himself in Azkaban she's left holding on to more than she ever thought she could. To make matters worse, she finds herself in the family way and has to return home to her strict Auror-father.

Years go by and Christine has moved on with her life, raised her child on her own, but never forgets the enigmatic young and handsome animagus and keeps in touch with his friends and extended family.
When Sirius escapes imprisonment, and with an aching heart, she asks that no one tell him about her or her child, lest he attempt to locate her...he has enough to worry about...right?

Then one morning years later, she's cutting her grass below her pasture and sees a man step through a line of trees dividing at the top of a hill, separating two pastures. The line of trees is actually a secret door leading to where the living dare not go...What happens when they reconnect?

Its all about family...and Sirius never had much of anything good to say about them...
