"You made me realize that despite the sadness in my dark sky, there's still a shining star that gives me hope," I cupped his face and put our face closer. "That I still have a reason to live" And I continued to whisper, "You are the shining star in my dark sky." Then I kissed him as passionately as ever. A lot of people come and go in our lives. Some might be easy to let go but some are so special that letting go is not an option. In the end, they might be the only light that makes you continue living despite the darkness you're seeing. Meet Paige Blace Barnette, one of Westine High’s smartest students. She’s pretty, rich and smart, so every girl in their school wanted to be like her. Sure, everyone wants to be smart, rich, pretty, and famous— all the positive traits. Apparently, not everyone knows about her disease. She has diabetes. That also explains her frequent absences but no one is bothered about those unexplained absences because she absolutely looks like she attends every class and also takes some other extra classes because of her wit. By the way, she’s not just part of the smart kids in school, she’s the smartest. Because of her disease, she had learned to self-study and surprisingly it turned out really great. Well, apparently she was born genius! But what would she do if suddenly she meets Brent Cole Garris, who apparently the.. well not really the play boy type? He WAS previously known as the bad boy but now he’s also known as the boy-with-anger-management-problem. Would they click or clash? Or would they eventually want to kill each other? Or Will they finally understand each other as they start to unleash each other's secrets. WARNING: A lot of swearing ahead. Looks like I'm a harsh person but NO. I don't swear that much in real life. I just feel that the characters' personalities are strong and somewhat aggressive. ;)

[COMPLETED] [Warning: Strong language used throughout the book.] He put his hand over my notebook and the other over mine. I glared up at him, his golden brown eyes catching my attention. "I can't write like this," I pointed out. "Is this all you care about?" Ryan asked. I shrugged. "Not this specifically, but yeah, I care about my grades." Ryan smirked. I swallowed nervously but refused to break my stoic expression. He leaned closer to me, my heart pounding so hard against my chest it felt like it might break out and fall on the table between us. His mouth was right by my ear, and I could feel his warm breath when he spoke which sent shivers down my spine. "Well, aren't you a little a scholar?" *** The only things Alex Moris ever cared about were his grades and his sister. However, when the boy his sister likes, Ryan Smithe, makes things complicated and causes him to feel things he's never felt before, Alex realizes that, maybe, there's more important things in life than grades and scholarships.
