What if Eru did recreate the world and that's the one every knows. What if the world before there were a large group of people who got speared from the destruction. They now live in the middle earth that everyone knows. Yet, they are hidden and keep to themselves. Protecting the world from monstrous beings that are still alive from the wood they knew. 

They stayed like this for a very long time and they enjoy their solitude. Yet, now they have a choice: do they help Fingolfin and those who are following him across the Helcaraxë and change the course of fate. Or do they leave innocents to die and stay hidden.

They can go on their own." "They will need your guidance and your ability to fight." Mithrandir said, stopping and turning to her. Noting the sour look across her face and the frown playing at her lips. "No, Mithrandir. There is a dragon in that mountain and unless you have an army, none will survive. I will not die fighting side by side with dwarves." Halidien growled, she would not run from a fight but walking to her death was not something she would do either. And what did she owe to the dwarves, to be running into a mountain with a dragon? "I wish you would have agreed. Halidien, you will go." Mithrandir insisted. "And why would I do that? The dwarves can handle their own problems." "You owe me, and once this quest is over that oath will be fulfilled." He explained, causing Halidien to pale. Hundreds of years ago, Mithrandir had saved her life and she had made an oath to him to help whenever he may need. But the idea of him forcing her to fulfill the oath for this, seemed ridiculous to her. A/N I do not own any character other than Halidien and maybe more if I choose to add more. At first she thought that her dream many moons ago, of a great wave crashing into the buildings and destroying everything in its path was just a nightmare. However, it was the visit from the Valar which sadly confirmed, the very things she was afraid would be true. In order to ensure the safety of her people, Miriel bravely steps up and makes the ultimate sacrifice by staying behind, an action that absolutely horrifies the son of Amandil. So, the great queen regent, and the captain of the sea guard, share one last night of full of passion and love together before they get separated seemingly, for the foreseeable future in their eyes. This adult romance is full of love and mutual desire, but also doesn't shy away from the sheer grief experienced from losing the one that was so close to their heart.
