Guardians are real but Declan is no angel. He takes what he wants but when it comes to Elisa he learns that he can't be selfish.
Elisa is used to not being seen, but when she gets her ass saved by a man that appeared from nowhere, has an answer to all her questions, and notices her from the get-go she doesn't know how to react.
Life in high school sucks but life at home is worse for Elisa, and when she sees that there's a greater evil than her father in this world, she knows it's not just by chance that Declan was there that night.

In between dealing with the secrets and dynamics of being a werewolf, the totally not cliche grudge between the vamps and werewolves, being the potential next murder victim of a mysterious and possibly non-human killer, and a hottie with fangs that she sometimes kind of wanted to make out with and other times wanted to rip his throat out, Lila was definitely going to have a totally normal, average life in this new town.Complete
