It's been years since Ladybug and Chat Noir had defeated Hawkmoth during there second to last year of high school(11th grade) and chat noir had disappeared after that. Marinette had developed strong feeling for the cat and was heartbroken that he never came back for her, or ladybug really, for a goodbye. Marinette had to move on from her life in Paris, as she now attends the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York pursuing her fashion dreams. It's her last year of school and she's been doing great so far. She was able to keep her miraculous in case of another attack. But what happens if her black cat appears in the dead of night again...

"Okay... what does the 'ladies man' need to know?" Referencing the most recent interview he did. "Oh, come on. I didn't expect them to keep that part in the interview." She giggled. "It was funny, I'm glad they kept it in." He flicked her exposed leg through the dress slit. "Okay, but I just had a question about Ladybug." Marinette swallowed hard at the mention of herself. She suddenly felt like she shouldn't be hearing this because she was Ladybug. "Okay, shoot it." He bit his lip, maybe unsure how to word it. "Well... I kinda tried to court her for at least the last 7 months. She didn't accept it, and I finally accepted that myself... but I guess my question is why she might not have wanted me. I'm sorry, I'm not even sure you could answer that... It just seems like Ladybug trusts you, so maybe she mentioned something to you?" -- Marinette Dupain-Cheng, a usually stubborn, headstrong girl, finally gives up on liking Adrien Agreste. He can't seem to take the hint, and she can't seem to conjure the confidence just to tell him.
