Fairfield looks normal if you don't know what to look for. The streets are clean. The people smile. The sun sets on schedule. But the truth is... this town is a cage. Once you're here, you're not leaving. Not really. I used to follow the rules - stay inside after dark, ignore the sounds in the woods, pretend like nothing was wrong. But that only works for so long. The night doesn't just bring shadows. It brings something else. Something that looks like us. Moves like us. But it isn't. And once it sees you... It becomes you. ~~ Hi! This is my first book and I'm really excited about it, I'm currently looking for constructive criticism and feedback in general. I'd love to hear about what you think if anyone finds my book thank you for giving it a shot!!

The dates match. Everything added up. How could I not realize it? The bodies. The charges. The gossip. The rumours. The accuracy. The deaths. Every single body went missing. They were right, I should have listened. I knew something was weird, but not this bad. Church on Sundays, book club on Mondays, Bible study on Wednesdays, their kids' games on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Charity donations on Fridays, and dates on Saturdays. I guess its true what they say. The biggest monsters don't hide in the darkness of your closet. Instead, they smile in your face in broad daylight. The worst demons don't conceal themselves in your shadow. They thrive in the light. The darkest souls own the brightest smiles. A light so captive, you don't even realize they've gotten so close. Don't even realize when you've befriended them and their darkness has touched you. So, Sometimes, to find the ugliest monster, you have to look in the mirror. P.S, the tags should serve as a warning as well. This story is my own, which means I own the characters, plot, etc. However, I did get some inspiration from James Patterson's WOMEN'S MURDER CLUB, just with a slight twist ;)
