At the age of seven Eric was given up by his father to his grandfather to be raised in the family castle. The boy is subjected to hard 24/7 training and learns everything from weaponry and hand-hand combat to painting and sculpting. But Eric is alone in the castle, isolated in the world as his grandfather's only grandchild, he isn't allowed really outside on his own till he completes training. But that training allows some light into eric's life as everyday he spends an hour with his neighbor Isaac and the two boys become great friends, but forces conspire against Eric's family for decisions the family made in the distant past. Will the family in it's vast wisdom be able to protect their newest member from theses threats?
