Walking Dead-Carl Grimes

Living in a zombie apocalypse sucks. Vallory Dixon's entire family is gone. Friends, gone. Home, gone. But when she runs into a small group in the woods, maybe even meeting a long lost family member, will all hope be restored? Or will everything slip out of her grasp once more? (Not all events are from The Walking Dead, some will be but it won't be quoted phrase for phrase. I'm doing what I remember.)
