Thoughts Underwater

Relatable thoughts you mind say,
Feelings I felt each passing day.
Break my Heart softly and painfully,
Yet why can't I hate you bitterly.

Why must I suffer this Unrequited Love?

"I knew you liked me Sophie, right from the start I know that, but we're only friends. I know I'm hurting you these past days or months even!" I read out the text he sent me and I swear I could hear his voice speaking through my ears as I cried.

"I even started avoiding Claire for you cause you're my friend and I can't bare to know that I hurt one of my friends is deeply hurt because of me." He spoke like the wind blowing the light away to die from the candle I lid for him.

"And I asked too much from you. You're a great friend but sadly I want to keep it that way. " his apologetic smile came across my mind as I turned off my phone and cried the painful ache in my heart away that night.
