Eliyah(better known as Eli) Starr was never one to care about love. With a mother and father who had gone through a nasty divorce when she was in middle school, she had only three consistent rules:
1. Never give up
2. Always follow your ambitions
3. And, above all, never-𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳-fall in love.
As far as she was concerned, love could go screw itself-similar to her father, who had been cheating on her mother since she'd been in elementary school-and she wouldn't give a flying crap about it. After all, the rule had worked pretty well for her so far-she was a top agent at the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement, and Logistics Division, also known as SHIELD. She worked with some of the most brilliant, most daring people in the world in a daily basis. She couldn't be happier.
But when her metaphorical mission goes sideways and Eli is metaphorically stuck without an extraction plan, she has to trust someone to get her out of a sticky situation: Captain Steven Rogers, America's golden boy himself. Eli is still determined not to fall in love, so she tries to forget about him. But as time wears on, and problem after problem arises, even Eli, with her years of experience in SHIELD, faces her most difficult mission yet:

(Book one)
When Anna Smith enrolled in the army, she was best friends with Bucky Barnes and Steve Rogers. She left them to follow a dream of becoming an agent. But when both died, she made the decision to become the next super soldier. Years pass as she established herself as the Director of SHIELD and remade the intelligence community in her image. Now that she finds out Steve is alive she wonders if he will remember her. Will they be the same, or will their friendship change? Not only has SHIELD slowly become something Anna doesn't recognize, she has to deal with the attack on New York too.
I do not own any of the Marvel characters. I did go along with some of the movies. I do have my own characters in the story.
