Fire. That's all Atticus could see when he woke up. That's all he could smell, all he could taste. It was as if the entire world had descended and here he was, in the Under, facing the wrath of the Gods.
...

With his whole life ahead of him, Atticus wants out. He doesn't want to spend every day of his adult life mining in the firepits for the Ember the kingdom of Oestia so desperately craves. He wants to travel, to live, and to find himself along the way.

Unfortunately for him, his wish came true.

After an explosion that tears apart his hometown of Amthyla, Atticus is thrown into a world of danger and conspiracy. He doesn't know who he can trust, and he isn't sure he'll survive long enough to find out. A massive task rests on his shoulders - he has to discover the truth and avenge his people, no matter the cost.

Save Me

30 parts Complete Mature

"I was lost in a world of sex and drugs and boys, until he came along. It kind of hit me by surprise, how easily I fell in love with him. To everyone but him, I was just a heartless bastard. Maybe they were right about me. Maybe I couldn't be saved. People have died trying, after all, and their blood was on my hands. But maybe, just maybe... I could still be saved.
