The government closely monitors the progress of the best performing students, claiming the fight began for their wellbeing. But what will happen when the schools brightest young trainee and a hot-headed rebel seek to find the truth about family members gone missing, and find that maybe the enemy isn't on the other side of the barbed wire fences and brick walls?

The second and final short story in this little series I've construed. This little sequel plays off the many heavy themes and elements presented in the first story. Around 2K words in length( upon its completion), this wraps up my first little short story Duology. This story follows the personal view of two coastal survivors, young Charla & Denny, in the wake of a nuclear apocalypse. The story intends to depict a glimpse of communities of sea-faring people and the environment they are fighting to survive in. Between perils of sea and perils of land, will the coastal peoples obtain life or death?
