This is a chapter book about  a little girl named Cora abandoned at  age 5 left on the streets she lost, clueless, confused and hungry she prays for mum to come back little does she know this is the day her life becomes as bad as it gets a "nice" lady named Audrey takes her back to her house where her husband and son are that night everything was good everyone had a great day but the horrors of the day,months and years to come were sad, cruel and brutal when Cora awakes the next day she is tie to a chair in a dark and old looking room scared and feeling alone she cries Audrey and Carter appear Cora feels relief  unaware of the nightmares heading her way the abuse,blood,tears,heartbreak,drama and cruel betrayal await Cora the poor thing she is only 5 now but as she grows through the story her life only gets worse find out what happens to Cora.
