Middleridge is a town in California situated on a vast beach. Years ago the town was split with a barbed wire fence, the poor on the one side and the rich on the other. There is no such thing as middle class here.
The poor live on the Maria side and the rich live on the Gorilla side.
Melisande has lived all her life in Maria, her family always scraping by with what they have. At a young age her and her brother's intelligence was spotted so they gained scholarships to the school in Gorilla.
Gorillaridge High. A private school for the rich and powerful.
In a school full of elitists, there has to be a group more elite than everybody else. The ones with the best looks, money and power. They're called the Golden Circle, but Melisande sees them as no more than players.
A group of players she hated with her while heart.
A group of players she plans n destroying.
At this point, everything may sound cliche, nothing more than a girl who wants revenge. But when the dead body of Mandy Hawkins is found, everything goes haywire.
