Park Chanyeol's future was meticulously plotted like an intricate blueprint by his father, the formidable leader of the Phoenix Mafia. To his father, Chanyeol was not a son, but rather an investment-a potent weapon to be wielded strategically when the time was right, molded into a formidable force to carry forth the family's legacy. Yet, amid the shadows cast by this predetermined fate, Baekhyun entered Chanyeol's world like a brilliant comet slicing through the darkness. With his presence, Baekhyun became a transformative force, soothing the restless flames that fueled Chanyeol's turbulent soul. To Chanyeol's father, however, Baekhyun was a dangerous variable, a potential threat to the empire he was building. In his eyes, Baekhyun represented vulnerability-an unwanted weakness capable of derailing the carefully laid plans for his son's ascension in the ruthless world of organized crime. The patriarch would stop at nothing to eliminate this obstacle, viewing it as a dire threat to his vision for Chanyeol's future. In Chanyeol's heart, Baekhyun radiated a comforting security and warmth, a peculiar yet undeniable beacon amidst the encroaching darkness. He became a guiding light, illuminating the cold and treacherous path that had been set before Chanyeol, offering a glimmer of hope in a life dictated by the shadows of ambition and violence. Would he defy his father and follow his heart? Or would he follow his true nature, in the path of gun and bloodshed and let Baekhyun slip from his grasps. *** All Rights Reserved.

43 parts Complete Mature

Chanyeol has held on to a secret for years, since his trainee days with a young EXO. He holds this secret so deep, he is even afraid to admit it to himself... he is in love. But he is not in love with just anyone, he is in love with one of his fellow EXO members. He planned to keep this secret love hidden, but one day, during a concert, a member of the crew sees right through his attempts to hide it when Chanyeol plays a guitar solo and can't keep his eyes off the great love of his life as he loses himself, and his willpower to hide, in the music. This incident forces him to confront his secret. As the two of them work on a musical project -an original song written and composed by Chanyeol himself that the creative directors of EXO have finally greenlit- and as he grows closer and closer to his love, he begins to wonder if this beautiful angelic creature could be harboring feelings for him as well... Authors Note: I wrote this original song "The Flame" with a friend of mine. It is not a real song. I did not write, however, and claim no rights to the song "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" by Aerosmith. It simply fits the plot and feeling of the story.
