Can Divit is a turkish internationally famous actor, who comes back to Istanbul after 6 months in USA. Tired of years of parties, women and that kind of wild lifestyle, he just wants to settle down for a while, but...what does that "settle down" really mean to him and what if he meets the love of his life..? Mostly is about to try to understand how deep their feelings got for each other in a very short time, how bad jealousy can be, how it can hurt and how it can make a person act. I am quite romantic, so a happy ending is a must! And some sex as well, (as sex was not needed in EK but would have been appreciated, for sure) at least I will give it a try. =) My story is definitely not so conservative as EK, characters are not being so traditional, it's about a more modern lifestyle. My first fanfiction, so please, have that in mind! I am not english, but will do my best to use a correct english. Any comments, advises or whatever will be appreciated♡♥ No rights reserved of the pictures or characters from EK, only the editing of my fan fiction.

Erkenci Kuş: Broken Promises by TheWordsmythe

Snippets of alternate outcomes in the lives and enduring love story of Can Divit and Sanem Aydin. When I started out with this story, I only intended to loosely base the 'short piece' on the events in Bolum (Episodes) 17 & 18 however, I got such positive feedback, I decided to stretch it out a bit. I'm still unsure how far I will stretch it but so far, I'm enjoying writing it and will keep going till I run out of steam. I can't think of any show/movie that I've watched in recent times to which I have reacted as I did when I watched Erkenci Kuş. The characters hooked their claws into me and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Sanem and Can; cried and laughed with them; railed at and cursed their detractors and finally rejoiced over their reunion. However, the ending was so rushed. After all the angst we were put through with their relationship, I felt robbed of an extended happily-ever-after. What we were given was too short. I hope to right that wrong, amongst others, with this story. Though I only watched the show in Jan/Feb 2023, I have since rewatched it countless times. There were certain parts of the plot which wound me up so much so this is me writing what I wished had happened. Enjoy!

I love Can and Sanem. I couldn't help but relate Prince's lyrics to CanEm's love story as I listened. The brief encounter sparks a flame that neither of them realizes will become a roaring fire. Their senses capture something from one another that they won't soon forget. He can't help but remember the scent of wildflowers as he held her close and she will never forget the taste of whiskey on her lips. Nearly a year later and they are in a room together along side a group of people waiting to hear a reading of a will. He is the first to realize that the woman he stole a kiss from is seated right next to him. He remembers those lushes lips and those legs that brushed up against his when he pulled her in and plundered her mouth. She blushes profusely as she stares down at boots she recognizes from an ill fated night out with friends. A memory of a long and masterful kiss that left her speechless and hot as hell. She looks up at him warily and can't take her eyes off his smiling face. Those dimples must have gotten plenty of women into his bed. He stares at her knowing that she just realized who he is and his smile widens as her faces turns pink under his perusal. When the attorney speaks and says their names and why they are seated directly in front of him they both realize something very big is about to change their lives forever.

Can and Sanem are finally getting married. It's time to fix some wrongs, finish unfinished business, fill in the gaps and live the adventure of a lifetime.
