The first Star Wars live action TV series, The Mandalorian, arrives in November, with a movie-worthy budget and a murderer's row of directors. Expect Marvel to follow suit shortly with a parade of six to eight episode limited series, all focusing on big screen stars reprising their Avengers roles in the wake of Avengers: Endgame.

Variety reported that Malcolm Spellman (Empire) was been tapped to write The Falcon and The Winter Soldier for the Disney streaming service. The series is just one of many Marvel shows coming to Disney+ including Loki, WandaVision (focusing on Vision and the Scarlet Witch), and Hawkeye. Deadline reports that Kari Skogland (The Handmaid's Tale) will direct all six episodes of the series.
