Understand that my mother is dark and my father is darker, by our roots our colour is our identity, our pride. My colour is something I wear with confidence and honour. Understand that in 1860 my colour is looked down upon, shamed and viewed with disgust. Understand that he thought differently, he looked pass my skin, my rude attitude towards him and fell in love anyway. Understand that love has no eyes to judge, no mind to be prejudice it just is, its just us.

Set in the 1800 where slavery was the norm but, love between a slave and a white man was forbidden, viewed with disgust and looked down upon. Ada only came to America for work as a servant until Maxwell son of a white man notices her. Ada's priorities were to make a better life for herself by saving up money and marrying her boyfriend Kojo a childhood friend and lover of hers. 
But what happens when  Max and her develop a relationship neither of them can prevent and society disapproves of?
What happens when love consumes both Max and Ada despite their will?
