The Red Sea

The ocean turned red overnight.

Thousands died before anyone understood something was wrong.

No one could explain it.
Not the broadcasts.
Not the scientists.
Not the survivors who refused to speak afterward.

Only one thing was ever reported consistently:

a sound.

Low. Vast. Impossible to describe.

Now coastlines sit abandoned beneath darkened skies while something unseen moves beyond the waterline, waiting to be noticed.

Because the more you hear it, the closer it gets.
The more you think about it, the louder it becomes.
And once it settles inside your mind-

it never truly leaves.

People call it The Red Sea.

But whatever is waiting beneath it
has been listening much longer than humanity has been watching.
