Insanity is like a disease.
We all try to push it down and throw it to the deepest parts of our minds, yet it always resurfaces and drowns us. We turn to drugs and medicine for these emotions, yet it never helps. We're left helpless, unable to swim in the raging waters.
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result. Is this not what we do?
Perhaps there's another way. But perhaps there isn't. After all, understanding the mind is like trying to tell a racist that all races are equal; fruitless and improbable.
Is there no cure to this endless cycle?
Is there a cure for our madness?
----~{}~----
Good afternoon! I do hope you enjoy "Cure the Madness" because I worked quite hard on it and am very proud.
A friend of mine, Frostychickenuggets, challenged me to write a short story and it sort of got out of hand... *ahem*
Oospie.
Anyway, this story is heavily inspired by something my partner in crime, UnicornSixWings, said a few months back. She described sadness/heavy emotion as monsters, thus creating a running theme in this short story.
With all this said, this story is dedicated to these two people, as well as myself for writing the thing. *Collective groans from the audience*
I hope you enjoy the story as much as I enjoyed writing it! Thank you and goodnight.
Note: Please read this story online! There are some important songs and images that are necessary to the storyline. Thank you! Stay fresh, cheese wizards.
