In the medieval continent of Terrall, the existence of witches and wizards are rare. Feared and persecuted by some while revered and glorified by others, most of them choose to live their lives safe in secrecy.
But not all.
Enter the Western kingdom of Uldard, where rumors of a nefarious 'Snow Witch' leaving destruction in her wake has reached the people's ears-including a homeless and quick-witted crow thief named Noct, who holds an intense resentment towards those of her kind.
Noct finds himself deceived by fate when he chooses the wrong person to steal from-a seemingly harmless girl with white hair and unnaturally silver eyes named Chell. When the thief finds out that Chell is actually the rumored Snow Witch, the tables are turned and instead of keeping his distance, an unavoidable series of events and circumstances leads to him and the girl creating an oath to each other: for him to protect her and for her to repay him.
A witch.
A thief.
A curse.
A promise.
This is the beginning of an unlikely tale of two people and their long, perilous journey.

8 years ago, vengeful magicfolk, tired of the discrimination and culling of their kind, rose up against the plainfolk kingdom in the north after a devastating curse swept through the kingdom. Now, a young witch with a past to hide, tries to live a peaceful life in solitude, but yearns to attend the new mage academy. After a long period of laying low, fate would call upon her once again, this time in the form of a peculiar masked stranger from a faraway land. A/N: I started writing this as lore for my original character and it spiraled into a whole new universe with new characters. I don't really read much, so my partner helped a lot in terms of brainstorming and editing. It's written for fun, so have fun reading!
Light The Kingdom
Since the dawn of time, Light has shined upon the planet of Gaia. Every being is made of it, but not all are chosen to wield it. Red, White, Green, Purple, Blue. Look to the sky, and you will find your Light. Those chosen, gain their color's ARS-their technique. Though, if you look close beyond the colors, you'll find the only kingdom atop the clouds, living just below the Light itself: the Kingdom of Lychinus. For 500 years, Lychinus has lived in harmony, a peace born from a fifty-year war between mankind and the creatures of the overworld. The creatures once believed the kingdom belonged to them as much as humans-mankind's heightened exposure to the Light granting them increased control over their abilities, and when the creatures were denied passage, they struck. Alongside his warriors of Light, the Luni, he used it to bring the Light closer to the creatures, turning the overworld into an oasis and giving them strength to build their own society, and moving their civilization forward.
