Being a Princess is a manageable title yet holds great responsibility. Ardeena learned this lesson when the death of her father ensures her coronation as the new queen of Gantrick. Ardeena is left to flee on a boat from being found by her family, escaping her title of queen. Taken abroad, a trade ship, she meets Careen, a notorious pirate.
Careen is on a mission to receive the bounty on Ardeena's head and send her off in return for the prize. Making it out to Ardeena, they were taking her to safety, yet that was far from her intentions. Careen must risk venturing back into the treacherous sea to the kingdom of Gantrick and keep the truth from Ardeena. War is brewing, and they face more than just dangerous smugglers and sea monsters. As Ardeena travels further into the depths of the ocean, she soon discovers more than a map to the golden treasure, but a curse about to plague her people.
She must choose between her love of ocean spray, the growing friendship with the pirate queen, and the crown she must hold.
