In a small town in California, 17-year-old Chloe Harper has been left to take care of her late grandfather's once-legendary bakery called Eleanor's, which was named after Chloe's mother, Eleanor (duh)
Sadly, Chloe's best friend Aubrey Gray, who is also the most popular girl at their high school, had her parents and her open a rival bakery down the street from Eleanor's, but that isn't the worst part. The worst part was that the Grays were not only stealing Eleanor's customers but also stealing the employees as well by giving them better pay and a free week at the family's beach house in southern California for each new employee.
Now meet Jasper Gray, the twin brother of Aubrey Gray. Just like Aubrey, he is the most popular guy in school and is also the newest addition and one of the only additions to Eleanor's, instead of working at his family's bakery.
Now with the help of Jasper and a few others, Chloe and Jasper will figure out a way to make the once legendary bakery, legendary again.
" Hey Chlo, I was just wondering, but are the cookies supposed to look black and smell....different?" Jasper calls from the kitchen.
Scratch that, they will try to make the bakery legendary again....but it might take a little while longer than expected.
Chloe Adams is the queen bee of her high school who has always had it easy from good looks to good grades to friends and even getting any guy's attention without even trying except for Tyler Cummings, the guy who hardly notices her and simply minds his own business.
But little did he know that his life was about to turn upside down when he insults the queen bee in front of almost the entire school.
Unable to handle the humiliation and embarrassment, Chloe challenges to make him apologize to her by the end of the school year.
