After closing Ada's case, Gavin and Nines return to normal life with the addition of their new relationship. However, love alone can't change Gavin Reed. It can't erase the struggles of his past or his hostile temperament, and his relationship with Nines pays the price. Following yet another argument late at night, Gavin storms out of the precinct alone.
