The year was September 2nd 1938. 5 tank crew will journey together in a war they never wanted to fight. Their unit number is 147. Its their fist day of boot camp they are uneasy about going to war. In time they begin to hate their Nazi superiors and Adolf Hitler but they know that if they do not listen to them they will be executed. The commander of this Panzer tank is Benjamin Alberg the gunners name is Bruno Alberg the drivers name is Wolfgang Caflisch the radio operators name is peter Doescher and the loaders name is Alexander Edelbrock. Benjamin and Bruno Alberg are both brother's, Benjamin is older than Bruno. Bruno struggles to gain his brother's respect and acceptance. Benjamin looks down on his little brother, he thinks he is reckless. Benjamin believes that his brother is not fit for war and will only get himself killed. But deep inside he fears for his brother, both for his safety and well being. Bruno has had no combat experience and has never fired a gun. Benjamin has fought in world war one he is 40 years old now. Bruno is only 22 this is Bruno's first war. During boot camp the group gets a spotter/sniper to accompany their unit, the only thing is, she's a woman. This catches all 5 men by surprise, it was unheard of. A woman in the German Army. Her name is Erika Schmidt. She isint any ordinary Woman...something they would soon find out. These six individuals journey to the major fronts from north Africa to the eastern front, to the early days of the Western front. Fighting a war they never wanted to get involved in. Having a deep hatred for what their Fatherland is becoming. They develop a deep hatred for Adolf Hitler and his Nazi thugs. As they move from front to front they get closer to more and more danger facing impossible odds and overwhelming enemy's. But for what? To help their country grow and become strong? Or destroy it....
