Can a love story built on lives survive the reckoning of truth?
The last thing Johanna expected was to meet the love of her life after having lost almost everyone in her family. Johanna Stern is a 15 year old Jew who is left to fend for her four month old sister. Johanna decides survival is all she has left and embarks on a dangerous journey. After figuring out how to form a German disguise, the Schmidt family adopts Johanna's baby sister and allows her to board with them as a nanny and a house keeper.
