This special treatment is the transitional stage from being friends or close friends to becoming more than just close friends.
The unjustified jealousy, the caring for the daily schedule of their love, picking them up from places, the reasonless nonstop texting, helping their loved, making themselves available always even if they're busy, hanging out with them frequently... She felt she was using him, but she wasn't the one to drown him in love with her. She didn't seduce him, so she acted clueless and continued being herself with him and with everyone else to enjoy this feeling and treatment.
