Emiko Kurosaki is a 15 year old teen who has no memory of her past. All she remembers was waking up on the streets, at the age of seven, cold, confused, and starving. Luckily, a kind couple pick her up and brought her into their home. It's there, she becomes a member of the Kurosaki family.

As she searches, older brother, Ichigo Kurosaki, and herself happen to run into a soul reaper named Rukia Kuchiki. She gives Ichigo the power to save their family from a hollow attack. Hitsugaya is in charge to notifying about the tournament to Ichigo and Rukia who are currently living in a rented apartment. Later then, he gathers some of his friends along with Rukia, Yoruichi and Urahara to participate in the tournament.
