Alice Carolyn Ashgreen is a half-spirit, half ghost half human. Alice lives underneath the Los Angeles cemetery with her family. Her older brother David ran away to the human world when she was only nine. Half spirits disapprove of humans as they are a dying breed and if you breed a human with a half spirit the child is human. Instead of living a dull life as a half spirit, Alice goes off to find her brother on the 7th anniversary of his disappearance.
