My parents died when I was 17, my husband ran away and my baby daughter died. Everything in my life is falling to pieces.
I need something to do, and finding my long gone, Royal Marine husband is currently the top of my list.
But there's a problem: women can't join the military.
This is the true story of Hannah Snell, the first ever female Royal Marine. Everything in this story (which I wrote for my lecturette as a handout on my promotion board as a RM cadet) is factually correct.

The First
I was the first. I arrived in the Glade, and there was nothing and... no one. I remembered nothing about who I was, who my parents were, what happened. A few days I remembered my name, and that's it.
