AN: I am a big fan of the book, Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation, reading the novel, the manhua, watching the donghua, and currently watching the live action version of this amazing story. As I went through everything, in the end, I felt the greatest sympathy for Xue Yáng, Xiao Xingchen, and A-Qíng. Xue Yáng remains one of the character whom I just couldn't hate even if I tried to. Because their real story is so tragic, I decided to write my own version of how their story could've gone, or how I wish it could've gone. 

The BL pairing I have in this book may not be the same as yours, because I am going to pair Xue Yáng and Xiao Xingchen together. Although the couple is Xue Yáng and Xiao Xingchen, a big part of this book will focus on A-Qíng and her life when she is now older, and it will focus on some other events in the book too. I know that a lot of people pair Xiao Xingchen and Song Zichen together, but because this is my own work, I took it a different route.

FYI You do not have to read Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation before reading this book but I will recommend it if you want to understand this book better.All Rights Reserved

A good friend asked me to write a story in which some aspects of his life appear. Meaning, although this is a fan fiction and has nothing to do with the reality of Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo, but some things in this story really happened to someone close to me. Lan Zhan realized this when he had grabbed Wei Wuxian to keep him from storming out of a room, and instead of fighting him off as he did with everyone else, he calmed. Unnerved by the drastic change in personality, and, though unwilling to admit it, worried for the slightly younger boy, Lan Zhan gets his father and brother to convince the Jiang clan to let them take Wei Wuxian back to the Cloud Recesses, under the pretence of having him attend more training, as an official Disciple in a few more months. In my re-imagined story, I am attempting to give our beloved leads a genuine chance at love with their own thoughts, behaviors, and desires. Granted, life is full of misunderstandings, obstacles and karma. Donghua learns that being a heartless god has its consequences. Having been careless and inconsiderate with the hearts of those who had fawned over him, he'll find it difficult to fulfill his. At its very core, this is a character-driven story about healing from trauma and the growth of a deep and meaningful friendship. It also attempts to explore the coming of age of love and desire for each of them. Those who can't tolerate slow burns should avoid reading this story ;) They meet much later, (she never becomes his maid) and was not involved in the BQ/Su Su/YH situation. Xiao Bai is young and very innocent as this story unfolds. Donghua is arrogant and obtuse, though with more playfulness and tenderness in the style of The Pillow Book. His edges are much softer. There are quite a few characters from the original series. Zhe Yan, Mo Yuan, Bai Zhen, Bai Qian, Ye Hua, Lian Song, Si Ming and Zhong Lin will make appearances, plus others from Eternal Love and ELOD. Lust + desire will play a part of this story so mature themes/content in later chapters. Reader discretion advised. Story is also LGBTQ+ friendly, as am I. This story and the characters are based on Tangi Gongzi's Three Lives Three Worlds, the Pillow Book, and TMOPB.
