Thea is the daughter of the angel Raziel, angels are not born or bitten, or scratched angels are created by the glow of an angel. Thea was tasked to protect Clary and Jocelyn, Thea was there through it all together with Clary in order to get her fathers cup to help Jocelyn. And so, she meets Sebastian, they learn that they were to be together one way or another.
