New kid Hayden Jones  transfers to Barton Creek High School and immediately stirs up trouble with the co captain the cheer team, Kasey Taylor. It also doesn't help that he is a Oklahoma Sooners fan and Kasey is a longhorns fan.

We know it sounds a tad cliche but it's not for the most part, so just give it a chance. Also there is a lot of football talk so if that bitters you this might not be for you, the majority of the talk is about the Texas Longhorns and the Oklahoma Sooners and their very intense rivalry. But that is not what the whole book is about just part of it.
