Yank was born Gerald Barry Falovitch (his given name) in 1948 in Montreal, Quebec Canada where he was raised by his mother and father. He was the eldest of five children. His family owned a kosher style butcher shop in Montreal.

Yank Barry is a World renowned philanthropist, former Kingsmen lead singer and Nobel prize nominee. He is the founder of Charity Global Village Champions Foundation and VitalPro Foods Inc. He is a famous Canadian businessman, singer, writer, composer, arranger, producer, publishers, and executive.


Global Village Champions Foundation has also had a large presence after several Typhoons' in the Philippines, sending hot meals & medical supplies to the neediest victims, with their fearless founder, Yank Barry at the helm. From South Africa to China; the US, Canada & the Bahama's.
