"What the hell was that?" Squidward hissed at the other squid in front of him. The hallway he had led Squilliam into was dark, so he had to squint slightly in order to see him.
"Why are you so dense?" Squilliam sighed and turned his head, ignoring the question. "Dummy, I do so much in order for you to notice me but all it did was make you hate me."
Rubbing his temples, Squidward glared at him. "What in Neptune's name is that supposed to mean?"
"Look at me Squidy," Squilliam whispered, looking back at him.
Squidward reluctantly glanced upward and opened his mouth to speak. Before any words could exit, Squilliam had pulled him into a kiss. He froze but eventually melted into Squilliams warm embrace.
Squilliam stepped back after only a moment, speaking just above a whisper, "I love you, Squidward."
