After the death of her brother, Emma Holt stopped believing in happiness. With her mother devastated and her father trying his best to keep their family alive, she isn' t exactly having the time of her life. That' s until Matt Belford moved next door with his family. Four years after the death of her brother, sixteen year old Emma finally finds a reason to be happy again but it is really difficult for her to open up and trust someone she barely knows.

Two years later though, Matt is still with her and has helped her through everything. Even his parents have helped Emma's parents stand back on their feet. And as everything start getting in line again, her life beliefs prove her right once again. She never, really, should have trusted anyone.

Now all Emma has is herself. The bad thing is, they never really got along
