He and a few of his classmates from 1-A and some others from 1-B were chosen to attend based on teacher or mentor recommendation. The camp leaders are Midnight, Present Mic and Mr. Aizawa, some 3rd years were volunteer camp counsellors as well. Which means Izuku's favourite 3rd year is a camp counsellor and he couldn't be more excited...
