But that was in the past, he got over that boy and now he's just a memory Will rather not think about. At least that's what he thought. (Or, years after their friendship fell apart Nico is admitted to the hospital Will works at, which turns both their lives upside down.) There was a sickness that was sweeping through Oregon (that's where the story takes place) that's putting Will's father in a difficult place as a doctor. Lately, Will has been a few minutes late to class, because he was helping his dad down at the hospital. The rules had been infinitely changed, because the hospital needed sensible help and a lot of it; and Will was perfect for the job. And then Nico showed up with his sister in his arms. Little did Will know, everyone in the state of Oregon would be battling the sickness that threatened to wipe out everyone. P.S: This whole story is pretty much a trigger warning. Enjoy!
