Evelynn Marsano has been gone for a year, but very little has changed. Her brother's still a legend in underground races. The same girls still hate her. The same boy still makes her heart race and resolve weak. But this time she won't let him get close enough to hurt her. Not again. Not like before.

Westen Burke just arrived to town and he's only staying long enough to set up a few street bike races, make some money, and have some fun. But he might stir up some trouble when he begins hanging around his sponsor's sister, and it's not just her brother he's pissing off.

This story sucks, don't read it! It's amazing how quickly your life can change. In a slow town like this, where nothing exciting ever happens, where nothing ever changes, one single moment can alter your life forever, for better, or for worse. Sometimes, we're lucky enough to be able to recognise these particular moments, and take a leap of faith, but, more times than not, they just happen without us even realizing what's going on until it's already too late. Tonight, a simple Saturday night, just like any other, would turn out to be one of the most defining moments of my life. Ace is living a slow life, knowing nothing other than drinking with his friends and the motorcycle club that raised him, waiting to reconnect with his father who has just been released from prison after a fifteen year sentence. Life is simple, though he thought. Until the night he meets Jenna, running from her haunting past and the man that she is desperately trying to escape. Ace is dead set on protecting Jenna, but, as she slowly learns to trust him enough to open up to, he finds himself landing in the middle of a human trafficking operation and a feud that goes way back, between the ringleader and his club. Suddenly, life doesn't seem so simple... Work in progress, especially the blurb! This story has content which may offend some readers. Mild coarse language! Physical and sexual violence! Lots of drug references! First draft! I don't own the cover image! I'm a disappointment to my family!

Ranked #01 for Teen Fiction X4 *A WATTPAD FEATURED STORY!* WHS Story of the Month Winner: Teen Fiction The Fiction Awards Winner 2017; Best Overall Story Best Of The Beginners ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ He turned slightly in his chair to face me "I'll be honest, it was a date but ended terribly." "Why did it end terribly?" His jaw clenched while contemplating whether to tell me or not "Because I was distracted." I raised an eyebrow in confusion "Distracted by what?" He looked at me directly in the eyes before answering, "You." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Avery is beautiful, carefree and outspoken. Well, she used to be. She used to thrive on adrenaline and the only way she could fulfil that need was by riding her motorcycle. Avery hasn't exactly lived the best life. With a violent ex-boyfriend, her father deserting them at a young age and her mum constantly high alongside her new husband, Avery and her sister Alena have grown up in a messy and violent environment. Determined to give her sister a proper upbringing, they escape to a new town and start a new life together, giving up on everything she loved in the process. Afraid of her past coming back to haunt her, she refuses to let anyone into her life. Her only focus is to look after her sister and get through senior year. That is until she meets Jaxon Asher who comes crashing into her life, popular amongst his peers who is also well known in the racing scene. Avery is convinced he is like every other man who's crossed paths with her. Will he prove her fears right and confirm that all men are the same; abusive and controlling or will he show her that there is still love left in this world? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Copyright: © 2016 Claireaabell All rights reserved.
