Valerie desperately wants to be a ballerina, and she will do anything she can to make her dream come true. When she gets offered a spot to Sterling Prep Academy, she immediately takes the place. Once there, things don't look so good. She has the strictest teachers ever, homesickness takes its toll, her ballet mates are super-talented, and she has schoolwork on top of everything else. Not to mention the food is greasy and unhealthy, unfit for ballet. The worse things get, the more she practices and pushes herself. But can Finch, popular football wide receiver, help show her that she's working too hard? Or will she continue to shun herself away from him, denying herself the right to fun? Join Valerie as she experiences troubles and hardship, love and romance, and the importance of both hard work and a little fun.

Lauren has spent her life under the suffocating control of her parents, who keep her isolated, obedient, and afraid, but when she escapes to university, she finds freedom, love, and a glimpse of the life she was never meant to have with Dominic León. Just as she begins to truly live, her reality comes knocking at the door and she was not prepared for the disaster it would bring. -- Notice: I do not own any of the photos used in this story.
