Matthew and Rachel had a whirlwind romance over a long weekend in California. When Rachel leaves to go back to her home in Michigan, she leaves Matthew her phone number so they can continue talking every single day. Though this romance is a secret to anyone else in their lives, Rachel and Matt choose a select few people to tell about their newfound, long-distance romance. 
After two years of not seeing each other again, Matt jumps at the chance to sneak Rachel away from her father when they visit California together. They reminisce about the first time they met, go out on a few dates, and even solidify their relationship. Yet, when Rachel goes home with her father and promises to call Matt as soon as she gets home, why does Matt never receive the call? 
Rachel always calls. And Matt always answers.
Now, with Rachel being declared a missing person, Matt is a named a person of interest by Rachel's parents after they find a diary hidden in her bedroom detailing their relationship. With social media eating this case up, will Matt be able to find Rachel and clear his name before it's too late?
