Y/n Ægirsdottir is the daughter of Ægir, a sea jötunn associated with the ocean, and Rán, a goddess and a personification of the sea.
Because of her father and mother, she has the power to bend the element of water and the power to sense when it's being used.

She's the girlfriend of Peter Parker and she is 1,052 years old, the same as Loki Laufeyson, who is her former friend before his death.
In human years, she would be around sixteen years of age as she would be close to turning seventeen, just as Peter Parker would be turning seventeen shortly.

Y/n and Peter have gone to the same school since Sophomore year and have been together since Sophomore year when they went to homecoming together. They now have just finished their Junior year and are heading on summer vacation to Europe with their fellow classmates.

When they arrive in Venice, they see the Water Elemental. But, something's not right about it to Y/n. She doesn't sense water being used at all and decides to figure out what's going on by herself.
