Its Leah again here to rant about how obsessed I am with the new kid from NYC. He has such a bad boy vibe, not to mention all the rumors floating around town about why he got sent here. We don't get a lot of excitement around here in this small town. I spend most of my time as a ball of anxiety, but painting helps. My little sister Mia is like therapy when she sits down and paints with me. She is such a little angel. It seems like there's Never anything exciting, until the one day there was. Not only does she have a new crush in town but there are a bunch of other secrets that have been coming to light with every sunrise the town sees. This town might be small but boy is there a lot of drama. The town police don't know what's worse, the splayed out animals or the missing high school girls. Leah doesn't know what to think as the town she knew as her home falls to shambles. Will she fall with the town or will she run away with the mystery man she has a secret obsession with. I was slowly losing consciousness, but my mind never seemed happier now that I was dying. The white walls with big bright lights did not resemble heaven; in fact, it was quite the opposite. I thought I had died. When I came to, I found myself in this strange place, disoriented and confused. I looked around and found another five pairs of eyes looking at me with the same emotion swirling in their gaze. Now, 15 years later, I train with these girls. Our makers take care of us, feed us, and make sure we are clean, healthy, and fit. Some of us never had that; that's probably why it took so long for us to realize we were being used. The dirty work they made us do, none of us questioned it. How could we when we were taken off the streets? For a chance at normalcy, we settled for anything, even if that meant blurring the lines of right and wrong. After a mission gone haywire, we started noticing, and now we strike back to take our voices and reclaim the power that was used on us as a way to control us. Anderia sweated profusely as she was running since one hour finally she was able to escape the kidnappers and hid somewhere in the woods. Tired and hungry her timid body refused to run any further, and finally gave in, she felt giddiness and fall to the ground. The Best Kept Secret!
They say what's in the past keep it in the past but I wanted to know all about my past. It was things that I didn't know and that I wanted and needed to know! But my life turned upside down when my past is exactly what I should have left alone. Now if you ask me how it all began, I don't exactly remember but I know it started when I moved in with my grandma who I haven't met in all my twenty years of living. I have been in and out of foster homes since I can remember, living with families I knew nothing about. Being the outcast and them constantly asking me what's wrong because I simply did not speak. The only thing that kept me sane was my good grades throughout school. I got the satisfaction of doing the one thing that people kept telling me over and over I couldn't do. I stayed to myself and graduated high school with honors, getting a full-ride scholarship to any college of my choice. Of course, by having this accomplishment, it didn't make it any easier for me between my foster families. To them, I became the girl who was better than them. But I didn't care because when I turned twenty I finally got to start making my own choices. This is where I wonder if the first choice I made was the right one.
