The capital wasn't happy with just sending Districts to the Hunger Games. No, they wanted Superheros. Sadly, those like Superman were too strong. Instead they got Batman and Joker from Gotham, Spiderman and Green Goblin from New York, Mario and Goomba from Mushroom Kingdom, Link and Zelda from Hyrule, Magneto and Wolverine from a secret hideout, Iron Man (without the suit) and The Hulk, Han Solo and a clone trooper from a galaxy far far away, Harry Potter and Snape from Hogwarts, Mr. Fantastic and Dr. Doom, Jacob and Edward from Twilight, Sonic and Dr. Eggman from Green Hill Zone, and finally Gale and Peeta from District 12. There was no warning this time. No parade, no chance to say goodbye. It was all so sudden, and the tributes were all fitted into jumpsuits specialized to them (extra-stretchy Spandex pants for The Hulk, for example), and were pushed into the glass tubes that would take all but one up to their deaths....

Because even in The Supergames, only one can survive.

When Kira Blackwood's name is reaped, she knows she's screwed. How is she supposed to survive in a fight to death with twenty-three other tributes, all of whom want to get out alive as much as she does? Not to mention, the thought of killing somebody twists her stomach into all sorts of unnatural shapes. Despite secretly training for the Games in the cow pastures surrounding her home, and being pretty handy with a knife, Kira's kind heart may be the thing that holds her back the most. However, as she navigates through the opulent world of the Capitol, and then the arena itself, Kira starts to realize that maybe, just maybe, it's not the dead she should pity, but the Victor. After all, no one ever really wins the Hunger Games. Survives, sure. But wins? Never. ~~+~~ Please Note: This is set in a world where the 2nd Rebellion failed. All usurpers were executed (except those pesky star-crossed lovers, who knows where they ran off to), District 13 was destroyed for good (but District 12 was rebuilt, on the basis that the Capitol realized that it actually really needed coal), and the Hunger Games were reinstated. Disclaimer: I don't own any of the rights to the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins, or to the Lionsgate adaptation of her books. (Obviously.) All characters of my creation are copyrighted. ~~+~~ Thank you so much for reading this, it really means so much to me!!! :) I hope you enjoy, and love it as much as I do! (Also sorry for the length, I sort have this thing for details... and long, run-on sentences... and long, run-on sentences stuffed with details...) Please note: I don't have a ton of free time, so as much as I love writing this, updating it will probably be super irregular. It's basically completed, the only reason that it's still marked as "ongoing" is bc I still want to write a few more scenes after the Games like the interviews and stuff, maybe of the Victory Tour, but I'm just not super motivated rn, lol.

Every year they are dragged out to the Capitol to mentor tributes who die within the next week. It was now the 75th Hunger Games and the tributes were being chosen from the existing pools of victors. And when Annie was chosen to go back into the arena, Sidney had to volunteer for her.

the hunger games x male oc the hunger games x female oc ➷ The 68th annual Hunger Games. Another year where 23 children would leave home and never return. Aren Harker wasn't sure on whether he would be okay with being reaped or not. No one wanted to, but if your name was drawn there was no option. His family barely having food on the table most days, he wanted to be able to provide them with more for themselves in his absence. He wasn't sure how his parents would react if their second child was reaped, just as their first had been. Aren's sister had been reaped 10 years prior, for the 58th games, and she didn't make it past the first 24 hours. He worried if his own name was drawn his fate would be similar. But part of him felt, maybe, just maybe,if he was lucky, he could win. I do not own the hunger games franchise or any characters inside of it. The only characters I own are those that I specifically announce are my own.
