Harry Anderson has been stuck in an abusive relationship for almost four years now. Having known Noah Carter since kindergarten, his boyfriend began drinking at 21 years old and began beating on him for no good reason. Harry's 25th birthday is arriving quickly yet isn't feeling excited about that day. His primary care doctor, Steve Heart, tells him to do whatever makes him happy. Harry's cryokinesis doesn't make anything easier on him.
But things may turn around when Reginald Hill comes into town. Harry feels some romantic attraction towards the newcomer but worries about what Noah would think. When arguments begin to brew between Reginald and Noah, Harry takes things into his own hands and ends his ties with the two men. He stays with Steve until he can get his life back into order. Can he become his own hero or will be always be dependent on a man to make him happy?
