In all of the vast multiverse, only one universe remains with creatures of myth.

Dragons roam the skies, and for the longest time lived in harmony with mankind. However, ten years ago, the Bellicus Kingdom waged war against the dragons of the Magna Kingdom, in fear of the rising power because of their dragons.

As a defense, the King began the Rider Games in order to raise an elite group of Dragon Riders. The Game was split into four parts- the Strength Games, the Game of Speed and Agility, the Wisdom Games, and finally the Game of Connection. Six teens 18 years of age compete in hopes of being one of the remaining two who join the Dragon Riders and get a dragon of their own who gifts their Rider.

Ten years went by without a single attack. However, Magna spies reported that the Bellicus Kingdom will make their move by the end of the year. So when the games are over, 20 Dragon Riders will be fighting the war. While it may not seem like much, the Dragon Riders' gifts from their dragons are actually powers. Each rider has one power and one dragon, followed by hundreds more who help fight the war.

Kaida Burns, a now 18-year-old, is the first girl to ever compete in the Rider Games. Little does she know is that if she fails to fulfill her destiny and join the Dragon Riders to kill her prophesied enemy, Kendra Byers, a dark force will threaten the world.

The world had long since forgotten the age of dragons, those creatures that had once ruled the skies as gods had long since disappeared after the conclusion of the Great Demon Wars. Dragons became nothing more than a fading legend, a story to tell children at bedtime. But the gods could not let the dragons die, for they were the last defense against the demon armies and the dark god Vekkar. Talia had been born and raised in a world of darkness acting as an agent of Hephatus, goddess of assassins and death. She knew only a life of killing, sometimes for justice, sometimes for honor, always for money. Her morals were opaque at best. But when she's deployed to the city of Arboros she finds herself thrust into a world of political games, opposing powers, and constant threat. Nowhere was safe even for her. Her goals became muddied, and then lost altogether when she meets the Dwarven Prince. Bromyr had spent the last five years of his life chasing ghosts, desperate to find the lost dragon eggs. His people thought him crazy, his father stripped him of his titles, but he never gave up. Eventually his effort bore fruit and he hastily made way to return to his homeland only to get caught up in the city of Arboros. It was there that he met an intriguing half-giant, a woman who ignited a fire everywhere she went. In the end she was the one who inadvertently brought about the new age of dragons. What could go wrong when an ill tempered assassin becomes the first dragon rider of a new age? ***Cover made by annie1loves1you***
